Ask the Audience - which all inclusive resort did you visit for your honeymoon?

Recently, saw a post where a young lady was asking her friend group which all inclusive resort they visited on their honeymoon.  An honest question as I am sure she had overwhelmed herself with all of the resort options available.   

Well, her friends came through in spades with answers.  And, the answers were all over the board!  Some resorts were true all inclusive experiences, some of them were resorts that add on a food package and call themselves an all inclusive, some of them were family friendly, some were adults only, some of them do a decent job with special concerns such as a food allergy and some of them do not.  A few were close to the airport and a few were quite a ways from the airport.

How in the world would she know which one to choose from the options offered?  She’s spending a good sum of money for a special honeymoon experience and she deserves to have the experience that is best for her and her partner.  It’s fine to gather the info and get a feel for the resorts that your friends mention.  It certainly will give her a list of resorts to explore online as she thinks about what she wants.

• When are you traveling?
• ​​What is your ideal budget you want to allocate to your honeymoon resort, flights, spa visits, excursions, etc.?
• Do you or your significant other have a tendency to get car sick?
• Do you prefer a high rise resort on a narrow stretch of land or a resort that may have only 4 stories and is on a really large piece of land where you can walk about and get great pics in the flora and fauna?
• Will you go crazy if you can’t have (insert any brand here) beverage for a week?
• Would you prefer to have a resort with a fantastic spa or is a spa not as important to you?
• Do you have a food allergy or any other special concern that should be considered when selecting your all inclusive resort and destination?
• Do you prefer a resort that is adults only?
• Are you ok with having an adults only area within a family friendly resort?  We know which resorts are holding up and are still delivering a stellar experience.  Your friend who recommended Acme resort because he had a great time there on his honeymoon 5 years ago may not know that the resort is now under new management and is suffering in quality.  A resort that was a star in 2016 may be a tattered experience in 2021.
• There might be new resorts coming that you and your friends haven’t heard about yet.  By relying only on friend feedback, you won’t know what other resorts could be perfect for you.  We preview resorts that are coming to market and know which ones are solid options before they gain a large public following.  I’m looking at you UNICO and Atelier.  Once those resorts open, people travel there and post about their amazing experience on social media, the price is going to rise.  Wouldn’t you like to experience these resorts before they command a top dollar price point?
